HR Solutions has secured a contract with Service Six, a Wellingborough-based charity that provides free support to children, young people, adults, families and communities in the East Midlands.  Service Six appointed HR Solutions after publishing a post on LinkedIn asking their contacts for HR recommendations. HR Solutions were recommended by several people and invited to tender for the work, for which they were successful.

Policies and procedures

Through their HR Retainer service, HR Solutions now supports Service Six, as their dedicated HR department to provide services such as employment contracts, bespoke company handbooks and document templates.  HR Solutions also ensure that all company policies and procedures are up to date and comply with employment law.

Whilst being in the fortunate position of having a wide choice of providers, many of them skilled and competent, it was still a clear choice for Service Six to pick HR Solutions as our partner.

HR Solutions listened to who we were and how we worked, which led them to demonstrating a clear understanding of the HR approach we needed and the challenges we face. Greg Guilford, CEO, impressed us with his knowledgeable and practical suggestions around some of our current issues.

As a charity it’s important for us to optimise the use of limited financial resources, whilst performing in an effective and ethical manner. We needed to understand exactly what we were purchasing and how much it will cost us. With HR Solutions we found clarity and transparency in the HR Retained Service model. The monthly fees are highly competitive, in combination with an appreciably more comprehensive service. The answer to our many “what about …?” questions was met with the response “that’s included”; and we felt confident that whatever we might face HR Solutions would be there to support us throughout. The only additional cost we may incur is an hourly charge for onsite attendance for extra pieces of work.

August sees us meeting our link consultant Alex Butt who is well matched with us. Alex is helping us transition to HR Solutions and ensuring that our practice base, including policies and procedures, is sound – a process included in our Retained Services fee.
