2022: The HR Year Ahead
We welcome in the new webinar year by taking stock of what we can expect in 2022. This will include legal updates and what the main topics of interest and issues facing employers will be.
2022 will see businesses entering the first financial year following the end of the transition period post-Brexit, plus the financial changes are somewhat more significant, due to the increase in the National Minimum Wage, National Insurance Contributions, and the subsequent levy. This all follows the economic downturn because of the pandemic.
We envisage that staff planning, employee retention, recruitment and positioning the employer brand will be key for many employers to ensure that they can properly finance and maintain their human resources, and thus continue to operate in this unique economic climate.
We have already seen the beginning of some significant changes in approach which we believe will only become more prevalent next year, including: the menopause, support with domestic abuse, the protection of veganism and more inclusive policies and practices.
